This is a VERY quick and dirty safari extension, all it does is include a single CSS file in your pages that contains 1 CSS definition that will hide any content that has the classname “waveform”. This rule will only occur if you are on a site that starts with the url http://soundcloud.com

Everything else is left as it was before, the progress bar, the loading bar, the comments, it’s just the waveform that gets hidden.

That’s all it does, but maybe it will make your life easier if you visit soundcloud a lot and you don’t like seeing the waveforms.

If there is anything else that someone needs to see that I can provide let me know, not sure if there are usb device sniffers or the like that might help.

The other row, see previous post with 2 rows out. I had the 4 cable pairs reversed. I don’t have the same issue with this row. This row I’m getting nothing at all, just blank. No cross talk, no button press issues, just dead.

I’m trying to meter things, but I’m having a hard time working out what should show Ohm values when and if that’s a good or a bad thing.

I did get a chance to do some soldering warm up, whilst picking up a new soldering iron, I grabbed a couple of quick $10 velleman kits. I put together a metronome, which was a nice challenge due to the header for the chip, so hopefully that will have got some of the muscle memory back.

I now have all the parts I think I need, I’ll compile a static page to list them all over the next few evenings.

I’m planning on spending an hour or so every evening this week, working on LED’s and diodes. So aiming for next weekend having a finished unenclosed arduinome.

In true geeky fashion I’ve been thinking I might record timelapses of the process using gawker. But more on that later.

I’m pulling for him fixing the bugs and getting it all working. Great to see someone who’s 10 days ahead of where I’d like to be.

I’m also now thinking that based on my LED’s “Current – Test: 20mA” and “Voltage Rating 3.2V”.

So the way I’m reading it. I should be getting a 24.5k? – 28k? resistor.

I’ll probably pick a handful up from the local Radio shack – I’m assuming that resistors are fairly common and it’ll be easier to get them there rather than ordering online.

The other thing I’m adding to my wish list is the Korg DS-10 synthesizer. Apparently due out Oct 14th (according to Amazon). There is a ds10 blog, although it’s all in Japanese (although that can always be translated).

At last I might have a very good reason for owning a DS.

** update, I have no idea why I ordered 5,000 tape mounted resistors. I know I need at least 1, and I think I’m missing diodes, but I need to try and find which ones I need. Be aware if you brought what’s on my list, you can return the resistors so long as you don’t open them and fiddle around with them, just like I did

I have ordered double quantities of everything for two reasons, I’m paranoid and an assuming that something will go tragically wrong with the first attempt, if everything works I’d love to have a spare to give as a gift or have at work.
